Barcelona returned to La Liga business last weekend as they began their new season with a hard-fought 2:1 win at Valencia. Having fallen behind just moments before the interval, a quick-fire intervention from Robert Lewandowski - both before and immediately after the half-time break - proved the difference for La Blaugrana. 

After an up-and-down pre-season campaign saw them win one and draw two of four summer friendly fixtures, the Catalans showed plenty of courage to claim the spoils in Hansi Flick′s first game in the Barca hotseat.

Now back at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Barcelona will be expected to make it two wins from two with the hosts enjoying an excellent run of form at this venue last season. Barca won eight and lost only one of their ten previous home league fixtures, with victory secured in each of the five most recent games at MontJuic. 

Of course, Bilbao are no easy foes, but Ernesto Valverde′s side will have been disappointed to emerge with a point only in their first game of the campaign - a 1:1 draw against Getafe last week. 

The Basque side have struggled in recent away matches, having lost three of their last five away La Liga games (at the end of last season) before four successive defeats in away friendlies this summer. Bilbao also lost in each of their last five road games against Barcelona in La Liga.

While it's still early in the season, Barcelona should have enough momentum from last week's win at Valencia to make it two wins from two on Saturday. A home win is my top tip at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
